Supporters would celebrate this resolution as a vital acknowledgment of the innovative work done by communications union districts. They would emphasize the importance of high-speed internet access in rural areas for economic development and community growth. This recognition is seen as a step towards bridging the digital divide in Vermont.

Critics might argue that while the resolution honors the efforts of communications union districts, it does not address the underlying issues of funding and infrastructure challenges. They may contend that more concrete actions are needed to ensure all Vermonters have access to reliable internet services. Additionally, some may view the resolution as a symbolic gesture that does not translate into tangible improvements for residents.
